In Chkalovsk town known as one of the hugest industrial centers of Sughd region and the Republic in whole, new shop of LLC “Elegant” was commissioned for production of basalt fiber using local volcanic stone. This event was attended by the President of the country Emomali Rahmon. The equipment was delivered to the shop, where specialists of “Ros-Basalt” company (Barnaul, Altai Republic Russian Federation) and local staff tooled up the hardware for launching. Basalt fibers are used in all construction projects to maintain the heat and the cold, to ensure acoustic and noise insulation, fire resistance and fire safety. In addition, the management and specialists of the enterprise pursuant to the commission of head of the state Emomali Rahmon intend to implement innovation project which presumes arrangement of the production of materials, armoring, pipes and other construction materials from fiber and thread of volcanic stone. Tajik and Russian entrepreneurs engaged in this business are confident that they would attain the goal,
since mountainous Tajikistan possesses great resources of ornamental stones, the efficient application of which in the production will enable to become one of the main sources for the further development of the national economy.
